Red Rooster MKII Non-Overlapping Plastic Slats are a world class poultry floor (and kennel floor) that is manufactured in the United States but distributed worldwide. With over 30 years of proven global performance, Red Rooster Flooring is a very durable, cost effective, bacteria resistant, long lasting plastic slat that was designed to replace wood and wire slats in poultry houses. Red Rooster MKII Non-Overlapping Slats (NOL) do not deteriorate or need to be replaced after each flock of birds while wood slats do. NOL plastic floors improve animal health while reducing cleaning time and labor costs.
Wood slats break and deteriorate. The narrow wood slats also cause foot pad problems, leg problems, and breast blisters. Red Rooster Plastic Floor does not deteriorate nor does it need to be replaced after each flock of birds. Each plastic slat has a smooth non-porous surface that outlasts wood and does not harbor bacterial growth. Because Red Rooster Breeder Slats will not splinter like wood, the birds are protected from foot pad, breast blisters, and leg injuries.

Red Rooster Non-Overlapping Flooring (NOL) is constructed of no break polypropylene, which is more durable and has more impact resistance than regular polypropylene. It will not harbor bacteria, rot, rust, or absorb water like wooden slats. 50% hole openings mean excellent filtration with minimum build-up for a clean, sanitary environment for your birds. Neutral no-break polypropylene does not absorb body heat from birds and improves production rates, while the black no-break polypropylene slat floor is UV protected.
Easily installed on 2 x 4″ or 2 x 6″ wooden supports, Red Rooster NOL flooring can be cut to specific sizes. Smooth, non-porous surface is easy to clean and disinfect by carrying 4′ sections out of the poultry house for easy cleaning with pressure washer, without having to disassemble floors. Reinforced pre-molded screw holes allow for fast assembly of slats to frame. Simply fasten wooden support beams to the breeder slat with No. 10 stainless steel head screws.
The NOL plastic slat construction is corrosion-resistant and has the ability to have both 4′ sides of panel interlock for added strength. Each of the 2′ panel ends butt up to the next piece and do not overlap (NOL). Double L’s MKII Non-Overlapping (NOL) Red Rooster Flooring only needs supports every 24″. Used with success under birds of all sizes – from little chick to large chicken, Red Rooster Non-Overlapping (NOL) Breeder Slats are a stable structure for walking with minimal sag.

Each Non-Overlapping Slat has a smooth, non-porous surface that is easy to clean and disinfect by carrying 4′ sections out of house for easy cleaning with a pressure washer without having to disassemble flooring. It has been proven that eggs laid on square openings, regardless of surface area, were significantly cleaner than eggs laid on wooden slats.

NOL slat flooring is available in white or black color, with the black slat flooring UV protected.
